AICTE has released a new advertisement regarding the scholarship of GATE qualified post graduate students. The scholarship will be given to all the students admitted in AICTE approved programs of ME/M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch in AICTE approved Institutions through DBT for the 1 year students of the academic year 2020-21. Only GATE qualified students with a valid GATE/GPAT score card will be eligible for the scholarship.

Procedure to be followed by Institutes and students eligible for AICTE PG scholarship:
1. Firstly, all the institutes will have to upload the details of their get qualified PG students on the AICTE portal on or before 31st of October 2020. And each PG student will be assigned with a Unique ID.
2. Then all the students will have to get their unique ID from the institute and login at here for uploading the scanned copies of all original documents in JPEG/PDF format only.
a) Documents to be uploaded:
Scanned copy of first page of Bank Passbook having the details of beneficiary, Name of the Bank, Bank account number, Branch name and IFSC Code. Bank account should be Aadhaar active. And to confirm that the account is Active under UIDAI website www.uidai.gov.in (Home screen-My Aadhaar -Aadhaar services-Check Aadhaar /Bank Linking Status-feed Aadhar number- feed OTP on RMN-get the status is Active).
b) Only Aadhar active savings bank account will be considered since the PG Scholarship is released through Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) mode through Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
c) Scanned copy of the valid Category Certificate for SC/ST OBC & Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) latest issued by the Competent Authority for OBC candidates only)
3. Then the Institute shall verify the data given by student and approve his/her candidature on the portal
And approve for eligibility of disbursement of the scholarship.
4. The institute will have to ensure that student's personal details, bank details and date of admission/date of commencement is correctly filled in.

All eligible students are required to upload their information on or before 15th December 2020 on AICTE web portal and the Institutes are required to verify the student data and approval for the eligibility for the receipt of scholarship on or before 31 December 2020.
